The competition is open to residents of England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Ireland.
The Competition is not open to employees of Hillarys or their immediate families, or anyone connected with the running of this competition or Bright.Bazaar.
Entrants must only submit photographs of their own homes in England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Ireland. If entrants do not own their home, they must obtain permission from the owner before submitting photographs.
Entrants must be 18 or over.
Entrants can submit up to three photographs via the entry form on www.hillarys.co.uk/creative-colour/ or www.hillarys.ie/creative-colour/
Each photograph must be uploaded separately.
Entrants should not attempt to misrepresent the room they are submitting into the competition. Composite images, images that have been altered or that have had elements superimposed will be excluded.
Entrants must not be professional interior stylists or professional interior designers. For the purpose of this competition, we consider a professional to be someone who makes more than half of their annual income from styling interiors or providing an interior design service.
Entrants will automatically be subscribed to the Hillarys newsletter, but will be given the opportunity to opt-out of future communications.
The competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 8 March 2016. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
The judging will take place within one week of the competition closing. All photographs will be judged on the following criteria:
- How colour has been used in the room
- How creatively colour has been used in the room
- The overall effect colour has had on the room
- Originality
The judging process consists of two stages:
Stage One
A judging panel from Hillarys will review all entries and shortlist ten entries for stage two.
Stage Two
Will Taylor of Bright.Bazaar will select his overall winner as well as three runners up.
The winner and runners up will be contacted by a member of the Hillarys team within a week of judging.
If after reasonable attempts a shortlisted entrant cannot be contacted, Hillarys reserve the right to offer a prize to the next best entry.
Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided. The judges' decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize will consist of £1,500 (or the Euro equivalent) worth of made-to-measure shutters from Hillarys including measuring and fitting by Hillarys. Three runners up will receive a £100 voucher (or the Euro equivalent) to spend on any products from Hillarys. These prizes are for the winner’s and runners up homes, which must be located in England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Ireland.
All submitted photographs may be used by Hillarys in order to promote this competition. All photographs may feature on www.hillarys.co.uk or www.hillarys.ie during and after the competition. No fees will be payable for this usage.
By entering this competition we consider you have consented to appear in future publicity material or other promotional events and activities related to this competition.
Hillarys reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude any entrant in this competition or withhold the prizes where there has been any violation of these terms and conditions.
HIllarys reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Competition in whole or in part, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice or compensation.
